iPhone 6 Plus October Orders!

Hey folks,

Just wanted to start a thread for iPhone 6 Plus October orders.

I placed my order for an AT&T version, 64 GB Space Grey iPhone 6 Plus on October 2, 2014 from the Apple Online Store. My order status is still "processing." I did however, receive a text from AT&T confirming my upgrade to a new 2 year contract. Is this a sign that my order is moving ahead? My supposed ship date is between Oct. 29 - Nov. 5. How are everyone else's orders for October going?

Thanks!

Hey rykelmac2013,

Have you heard any more about your phone? I too ordered a 128GB, Space Grey, 6 Plus on Oct. 2, 2014 from AT&T and after the push back to Dec. 12-19 I started looking at availablity at Apple stores and AT&T. On Nov. 19-28 I noticed heavy activity in Texas Apple Stores. Last Thursday, December 11, 2014 I noticed one AT&T store, two hours from me, had availability. Before store hours I called AT&T and was told that was not correct. Once the store opened I called the store and was told YES, they did have one but I could not have them hold it for me until I could drive the two hours and I would have to cancel my original order. I have questioned why are our orders not being fulfilled while some are able to be lucky enough to walk in to a store, same day, and get product.

Hoping that this week we do get verification that our phones are truly shipping.

I am an ex-Apple employee and have had my phones provided to me by my department. I am quite saddened by this current issue. I waited to order after the initial release feeling that supplies would be fulfilled. I did not want to get anxious but this has been frustrating and to know that so many are in the same situation is disappointing.

Let me know how things go for you and any others who have been on hold since early October.

Blondienicole,

Let us know how your shipment went.

I feel certain that the issue is with Apple. It makes me sad to think that Samsung may overtake Apple with smartphone sales due to this issue. I would really like to know that Apple would provide an honest answer as to what is really going on. The consuming public would be informed and be understanding.

I noticed, with concern last night and this morning, that AT&T has removed the option to see in-store availability for 64 and 128GB iPhone 6 Plus models. They are now saying 7-14 business day shipping for 64's and 21-28 business days for 128's. Non of the Apple stores in Texas and Oklahoma are showing availability for the 128's. I feel very certain the 128's will be pushed back another month, maybe two. Does anyone think the 128 chips are in that short supply?

I ordered October 29th a 128 G SG 6 plus from an AT&T store in NC. Shipping date of Dec. 9 - Dec 18. I talked to a rep on the phone Friday and she assured me I will get a delivery notice this week. 3 days left and we'll see what happens. As far as not "seeing" store availability is not true. When I log on to myAT&T and add a device, it shows 64 and 128 out of stock, yet the 16 is available. Fingers crossed. UPDATE: I just checked what you said about AT&T taking down in store availability. You are correct, yet the 16 G cans still be checked.

heliophobicdude, if you've been following this thread for a while now, I'm sure you've seen some of us recommend if you ordered from a carrier, it would be much faster to cancel your order and order through Apple. If your phone doesn't ship in this second shipping window, you might want to consider that. Apple has been right on with their shipping dates and even some going out a little earlier. At the time I ordered, it was 3-4 week ready to ship window and mine shipped 17 days after ordering on 11/7. I had expedited shipping (Express Saver) and I got it in 2 days from China. Now I had the 64GB gold, but defiantmacho on here ordered a little bit before me and his was a 128 SG. His shipped in 15 days. So you might want to keep that in the back of your mind in case you don't get the notice by the end of your second window that it shipped. If you decide to do that, just keep Apple on the line the whole time while you cancel your order to make sure your upgrade eligibility shows up again right away.

Yeah, from what I read on here from some people with AT&T orders, it sounds like they mark orders preparing to ship immediately, even though they're not ready to ship for a while and it sounds like they charge cards right away too because they mark it preparing to ship. Apple doesn't mark your order preparing for shipment until it is ready to go out and they don't charge until it is actually on it's way (at least that is how it was for me).

Great rykelmac!

My order from Oct. 2 - 6 Plus, Space Grey, 128 still shows "Preparing to Ship" at 7:45pm 12/16/2014.

What city is your AT&T store in. I was told by one of the AT&T phone representatives that if I had ordered from an AT&T store in a large town I would have gotten mine quicker. Ironically, the AT&T store I ordered from, and the town I live in, is only one-hour from Fort Worth, Texas.

Let us know how long shipping took.

Well rykelmac2013, having ordered my phone on the same day as you I too saw that my status at AT&T went from "Preparing to Ship" to "Processing". This was at 7:45pm Tuesday, December 16, 2014. I was later not able to look at the status on att.com but had received an email stating that my order had shipped. I was not able to track the order until this morning and mine has also shipped from Fort Worth, Texas and is scheduled to arrive tomorrow, Thursday, December 18, 2014. I am glad that Apple production and AT&T fulfilment seem to be getting on track.

The best of luck to all of you who have waited so long for your iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus'. The people I know who have them really love the device.and I hope we all have that experience. I know that there are unsung hero's who have worked harder than we can imagine to assemble a product we can enjoy. May their lives be fulfilled as well.
