What I have noticed is that all my apps are already updated. The header for each section says "Updated on <the date it was updated>". So I have the most recent app. The issue just appears to be that the button says "Update" instead of "Open". No biggie. Eventually that will be fixed, but I thought I wasn't able to update the apps. Turns out that is not the case.

Now we know Apple is watching this forum Belinda, when can we expect acknowlegement and a FIX, for the stuff up from Apple? It's not some random 'bug' that suddenly showed up, it was a bungle sent to our iOS systems by Apple. If this is just ignored, then we would be correct in assuming it was a deliberate ploy to force into iOS 8, which is still in beta. How to keep loyal customers?

Just to save a step in CyberMac's suggestion.

While in the update window, instead of going and searching for the app, just tap the app icon (details will open), then tap the icon again (takes you to the application page). The icon to the right will still have 'Update' on it, but this time it will actually work.

Seemed easier than searching for it, all the best!
