Imovie - run better on Macbook Air or Pro?

Buying first Mac, which will be either MBA with 8GB or MacBook Pro 8GB. Both come with i5 processors, but the pro comes with one that is faster. Will I notice a difference while making simple iMovies or doing picture editing? Really don't know which way to go.
