I understand Siri can be set-up to read text. Is it possible to save what Siri reads as an audio file?
I am working on a video project that will include one or two sentence narratives, I was going to type the information in a text file and have Siri read it. The audio would be merged with video clips or JPG stills in Adobe Premiere.
I know I can do this on my iMac but the voices are to mechanical.

There is the free way and the pay way. Sounds like you have what you need to do this for free. Assuming you downloaded the Siri voice (I think it's Samantha), you can use the Command Line Terminal via the "say" command, AND output to a file, which is what you will need. I have done this and imported into movies. At the terminal, type info say, and you will get the instruction for using the command including how to output to a file and different formats.
