I have an LG 34UM95 connected via TB on a Late 2012 mac mini.
After the Yosemite install, I no longer have the option of choosing 3440x1440 resolution in the Displays preferences.
I did do the Option->Scaled bit to see the extended list of choices, but nothing higher than 2560x1080 shows up.
Can I get my 3440x1440 resolution back?

FYI, the latest update (10.10.2) brought back the 3440x1440 resolution for me running a late 2012 mini. No hacks necessary. Don't even need to Option+click on Scaled. FINALLY!

No. Refresh Rate is "50 Hertz (PAL)". I don't know what the "(PAL)" means. I don't know either if the 50Hz is a byproduct of the monitor, the 2012 mini, how the update added in the resolution, or something completely different. Btw, the other option in the drop down menu is 30Hz
OK 50Hz is not too bad. PAL is the european refresh rate. Interesting that they choose that mode. Which monitor are you using?

I just upgraded from 10.10 to 10.10.2. Resolution stayed the same! Woot!! So, either the new update fixed the issue, or it didn't touch the graphics extension.
10.10.2 worked for me out of box as well. Looks like there is a new AppleIntelFramebufferCapri that finally fixed the problem.
Using a MBA (mid-2012) with yosemite 10.10.2, connected it to a new LG 34um95 through miniDP -> dp. And I'm still having this problem, despite trying the fixes listed in this thread.
Anyone else? Is it because I'm using miniDP instead of thunderbolt?
I have recently bought a new Samsung LS34E790C 34" Curved monitor but cannot get my Mac Mini 2012 to run at 60hz. I am on 10.10.2 but can only get 50hz max at 3440x1440, any ideas?
Using a MBA (mid-2012) with yosemite 10.10.2, connected it to a LG 34uc97 through thunderbolt, I'm still having problem when
1/ I close the MBA and reopen it
2/ The MBA get out a standby
I'm still having the problem: no 3440x1440 after the upgrade, tried everything people posted here including installing Yosemite again, this is terrible for me because i edit 4K and under Maverick it all worked great with my Radeon 7950 and two apple LED 27" (display port ones).
is there any other option out there?
I have a MBP mid 2012, I don't have Mavericks from Time Machine, I just have El Capitan. I have the Dell U3415W, I can only get 3440x1440 @ 50Hz with the lid closed using a Mini DP to DP cable. If I open the lid I get this tearing at the bottom of the screen.
Note: I also have a MBP 17" from late 2011 and that display 3440x1440 @ 60hz using the same cable without a problem, so I'm thinking the issue is with the 13" Mac.
Is there a fix I can apply to the 13" MBP to get the full resolution @ 60Hz?
I am using a MBP mid 2012.
I was finally able to get both displays to work simultaneous. 1280 x 800 on the MBP and 3440 x 1440 @ 50Hertz (PAL) on the Dell monitor.
Is it possible to get 3440 x 1440 at 60 Hertz? Has anyone been able to get that highest Hertz setting?
as i m about to connect lg34um95 to an early13 mbp13" maverics , is it ok to use a minidp to dp cable (startech which supports 4k) ?
