Yosemite download error

I'm trying to download Yosemite on my Macbook Air (late 2010, 2 GB Intel, running 10.7.5). The download almost finishes, then I receive the error message, "The application could not be downloaded. The requested URL was not found on this server." Whether clicking "cancel" or "retry", I then am asked to sign in to my Apple account on the App Store (even though I've already signed in). I've tried a few times with the same outcome. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to fix this? Thanks.

Dido. Mac Book Air. 10.9.5. Intel i5.

I've tried 4 times to download Yosemite, resigned in as you did each time. The first download was completed, but then nothing happened. I restarted and nothing happened, nothing installed. That's when I tried again and so on.

The next 3 tries the download gets nearly to 5G, stalls, and then says this. .... Now it's simply frozen like this. I've rebooted several times, and the 'error has occurred' message stays there, frozen.

Thank you. I look forward to answer fro Apple soon.

Maybe one solution:

Found this in /var/log/appstore.log:

Oct 24 00:14:50 Some-Mac.local storeagent[285] <Critical>: DownloadManifest: removePurgeablePath: /var/folders/_p/4ywsgzt13js61v1vfk6prq7m0000gn/C/com.apple.appstore/915041082

Oct 24 00:14:50 Some-Mac.local storeagent[285] <Critical>: DownloadQueue: Could not add download

So I tried to rename that folder:

mv /var/folders/_p/4ywsgzt13js61v1vfk6prq7m0000gn/C/com.apple.appstore/915041082 /var/folders/_p/4ywsgzt13js61v1vfk6prq7m0000gn/C/com.apple.appstore/915041082.n omore

After this, the download could be started.
