No widgets in Yosemite notification center

It also works for NO SERVICE message in sharing options for Safari or Finder.

I had the same problem on upgrading from Mavericks to Yosemite on my late 2009 iMac: No widgets, share button said "no service", no extensions in system preferences. Reinstalling Yosemite didn't help. I also tried to install each extension using the widget simulator app, as suggested by someone. This seemed to work -- till I restarted. Strangely, everything worked ok when I logged in as a guest. I decided to wait for an update from Apple. Then I saw the suggestion by Nero83 to change the UUID. This worked right away. This should be the accepted answer. It works. No fiddling with UUID, or ACL. And it comes directly from Apple.

Everything now (in the Notification Center) works except my stock ticker which is really the only thing that I cared about. Furthermore, I realize my markup doesn't work either. This update has been a terrible experience for me.

I was having problems too and I figured it out!

All you have to do is right-click the finder icon in your dock and hit "restart".

If "restart" is not an option, try force quitting finder from the apple bar.

Ok so what apple provided the fix with the terminal worked for me, but there is a weird bug when i open my notification bar the weather and time doesn't update. Location services are turned on, but still its not updating the weather and the time is somehow stuck. Any help?

I had a similar problem. The Calendar widget was AWOL, resetting the UUID, or whatever it is (see first post in this thread) worked for me.

This is what fixed my issue... I'm in a Corporate Environment and when my MBP is secured by Profiles, I don't have the options. When I remove the Profiles and stop synching with the OD server, reboot - my Extensions return.

I still have this issue. I have tried all solutions suggested in this thread from resetting UUID (supposed solution), reseting home directory permissions and ACLs, opening widget in widget simulator and finally running the apple suggested command in terminal.

Non of these "solutions" have resolved this issue for me.

Is anyone else still having this same problem?

My System Preference>extension shows nothing in it....

Have lost my complete notification center also. There is no way i can get it back. Not with swipe or with the icon in the right corner.

tried every suggestion on these threads and can't get widgets back.

only have today and tomorrow view... no calc, no weather, no world clock, no stock.

solved: go to /system/library/coreservices , find weather and right click OPEN, after that both stocks and weather widgets appeared in the notification center in my machine.

At the time of solution I had disabled SIP.
