Where is option to have side bar in iTunes 12 ?

Since, 11 iTunes has been disabling my option of having the sidebar... which is annoying... but now I cant find the option to have it again... since I found this better and easier to use than that ribbon of silly icons... It is a pain in the neck dragging a song to my iPod, in its specific playlist(still don't know how to do it properly in this new version) ... This is why I had the side bar, it was constant to the GUI design of Finder...

Please enable the option to have iTunes sidebar again... the flat GUI is irritating as it is, but getting rid of the option to have the sidebar just made me crazy, mad and insane.

My main computer still has v11, but v12 is on my new Mini that's hooked up to the TV, and it's running Yosemite. The more I use 12, the more inane the new interface becomes. It's harder to use, and along with Yosemite, it really does look like they were designed by a 12 year old with crayons.

Form has always been important at Apple, but recent forms are hurting function. Alas, they obviously don't care since Apple makes most of its money on the iToy phone.

After the tragic loss of Jobs, Apple design and quality has totally gone down the tubes. Sure you can set up the sidebar, after 3-4 steps, but why did they have to change something that was very popular? ITunes is a horrible music service now, from the terribly designed user interface, constant spamming of iTunes Radio, lag, it has devolved rather than evolved since its creation. They are more concerned with designing something that promotes Apple products rather than user enjoyment.

I think what Terence is hinting at is that this forum is for user to user help. It is not intended for user to Apple commentary, complaints, etc., & because of that the chances of anybody at Apple who can do anything about changing the behavior seeing the comments here are very nearly zero. As has been mentioned more than once now, to send comments to Apple, use the Apple feedback pages. (If you can't find the several posts that mention the links to that, just Google "Apple feedback" & they will pop right up.)

Beyond that, please consider that there are millions of people using iTunes 12, & very few of them have commented on this issue here or anywhere else, so it is anybody's guess how many of them love, hate, or are indifferent about the changes.

Bottom line: if you want the old sidebar behavior back, you are wasting your time complaining about it here. Instead, send Apple feedback about it.

Oh look, a snarky reply from a long time user that added zero content to the topic as well. Good job Terence.

User to user support can include venting about the same issues and frustrations that apparently some of us share.

R C -R, thank you for the more extensive reply. I will pursue that avenue as well.

I am surprised that Apple would not use the forum as a source of feedback, I realize it is a fine line to get involved in their forum. But the amount of feedback and problem resolution that can be found within is a gold mine often. But I have seen many companies that ignore their own forum.

Oh look, someone who doesn't know what the forums for and doesn't even read the thread she's posting on. Double good job BellasMom234. Have a look at the first page.

When you consider the quality of the feedback on the forum it would be very surprising if Apple took it seriously. Case in point.
