These apps have already been accepted

I reformatted my HD and had OS X Yosemite reinstalled. When I go to my "Purchases" page in the App Store I have a list of Apps to "Accept." However, when I click "Accept" and put my password in it tells me 'These apps have already been accepted" which is true. Under the list of 6 apps I have to accept it shows my purchases which includes those 6 apps. I can install and use them no problem. It is just a minor annoyance that whenever I look at the "Purchases" page I have this list of 6 apps it is telling me to accept, and there is no way to get this to go away.

Just a quick reminder - on page 2 of this thread I listed the steps that resolved the issue completely for me. It never reappeared after that steps.

While some of the steps are not that easy and fast to reproduce (like total destruction of disk partitioning with 3d party tool and install from local media instead of internet), those who cannot afford that issue could just repeat my steps to resolve the issue completely.

I received an email from Apple today, which included the following, "Robert, after researching about the issue you are having I have found that Apple is currently working toward a resolution for the issue. You will receive an email after the matter has been investigated and further information is available."

If/when I receive a subsequent email on this accepting apps matter, I will post it here.

Dear All,

i have had the same issue with regards to 2 apps that needed accepting since upgrading to Yosemite (iPhoto and iMovie).

NOthing i I tried fixed the issue including uninstalling apps, fresh install of Yosemite etc..

long story short.. I spent a little time with Apple support via chat with an experienced support specialist working in conjunction with the development team investigating the issue. My issue is now fixed and the apps no longer require accepting - something to do with the adoption of the apps to your ID.

THey have a little more testing and investigating to do, but expect a fix very soon.

cheers, Edwin

Hi guys,

I have a similar issue with all six apps requiring acceptation. But even worse, I can't use them, because I don't even have them in my Mcbk Pro 13' after updating on Yosemite! I don't have the apps in my Purchase list (even if it tells so after accepting these apps), I can see them only in my Purchase History on iTunes... I made a clean installation I didn't have a backup. Do you think that this issue will be also fixed by Apple? Or is there any other way to get my apps back?

ozseth, your issue is different to the issue described in this entire topic, this topic is about a flaw in the 'Purchases' pane, where two or more apps already accepted, downloaded and installed are showing as 'to be accepted' in the 'Purchases' pane.

Your issue is a seperate and entirely different problem relating to the 'Updates' pane, and is solvable by user intervention. While I am not familiar with the process myself, as your issue has not occured for me, there is certainly at least one topic on this site that has the solution.
