Yosemite made my iTunes quit loading

I'm on a mid 2011 model Mac Mini and upgraded from "Mavericks" to "Yosemite" today. However, iTunes will not load unless you go find the actual package contents and run the terminal process. Here's the only way I've found to make it run...

Once you close it though... it quits opening. You'll HAVE to open it via a shortcut which can be made by dragging the file shown above to your desktop. It'll start up Terminal and run as iTunes is open.

So far, this is THE ONLY WAY to make iTunes work on a system that is having this problem. IT NEEDS TO BE FIXED RIGHT NOW, APPLE!

P.S. I have upgraded my Macbook Pro with Retina (late 2013 model) and it had NO PROBLEM like this or any problems at all. I think this is isolated to older Macs.

Here are the steps to do the quick fix.

1) Open Finder
2) Under "Devices" choose your Mac and then select "Macintosh HD"
3) Select the "Applications" folder.
4) Find iTunes then RIGHT CLICK and choose "Show Package Contents"
5) Once you're here: navigate through "Contents" and then to "MacOS" folders.
6) FINALLY: Up top click on the iTunes file and try to open it normally. If it doesn't budge try RIGHT CLICK and "Open"

There was a solution posted in another thread.

1) Remove iTunes. Instructions can be found here: http://www.tekrevue.com/tip/uninstall-itunes/

2) Reinstall iTunes. It can be downloaded here: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

If that doesn't work, I fixed the problem on my system (before seeing the above instructions) by installing Yosemite on an external drive, then booting from the external drive and copying the iTunes app from the new install back over to the main system. This will be version 12 so you will need to go through the normal update process again to get the latest version.
