Apple TV cannot connect to iTunes library on MacBook Pro after upgrade to Yosemite/iTunes 12

Does anyone else have this problem?

After upgrading my MacBook Pro to Yosemite / iTunes 12, my Apple TV cannot connect to it's iTunes library anymore.

I have tried the following:

Logging in/out of Apple TV and MacBook Pro's Home Sharing/iTunes account

Turning on/off my wireless router/modem

Turning on/off the Apple TV and MacBook Pro

A combination of the above

Nothing works.

Is this a bug or am I to wait for an update to Apple TV?

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10)

YES!

This worked for me!

And thanks to bondbond and all the rest who figured it out!

- Go to: System Preferences;

- Change Computer Name -- I found a 1-word name worked while multi-word name didn't;

I had half a working system: the ATV gen 3 was OK, but I just could not get the ATV gen 2 to work (this was after an upgrade to it) - the ATV gen 3, Mac mini, and iPhones/iPads had all been up-leveled to Yosemite and iOS 8 without issues. At first I thought this might be compounded my networking issues that arose when I set up a flip-flop Time Capsule environment - but even setting everything to ethernet rather than wifi made no difference.

So I followed the steps most have tried and found to work -- and voila I up and running (now do I dare to revert to wifi ???)

I too thank the pioneers with arrows in their backs, the troubleshooters, and the crazy ones who dare to think differently.

Same problem with MBP 2012 & iMac 27 2008(?), ATV would not find libraries. ATV also showed the iMac listed twice on the Computers list, may be related to the suffixing problem.

To fix both,

1. home sharing off

2. change Itunes library name in preference

3. change computer name in system preferences sharing

4. reboot and reset PRAM (Cmd Opt P R)

5. home sharing on

I tried all steps and tips .... it worked..... one day.....

Yesterday evening same problems again.... ATV can't find my libary...

Restarted the ATV with no result.

Restarted iTunes with no result.

Restarted the MAC and iTunes and the ATV found the libary...

Looking forward to a real solution for me...or an update
