How long does it take to install yosemite? Apple logo is up and the installation bar stopped half way. Been like this for 1hour now! HELP!!!

On a high speed broadband connection the installation takes about 45 minutes to an hour. Your Mac will restart automatically several times during the installation process.

If you are using Wi-Fi to upgrade, not using other devices using the same Wi-Fi network may help.

If your Mac is currently running either 10.7 Lion , 10.8 Mountain Lion , or 10.9 Mavericks, you can see download progress by clicking the Launchad icon in your Dock

Hi ... same on iMac late 2012 !! You have to Reboot !!! After reboot everything works normal !!

I got the same thing going on here. I have tried to wait over the night, but it's still on the same place.

Mines is doing the same.

Did it just boot into the main screen or did you leave it on the boot screen

I had exactly the same problem. rebooted a couple of times but suddenly the bar went all the way.

Our first test upgrade of 10.10 is doing this (MacBook Air, Mid 2009) which is inauspicious.

Same thing here. I tried a safe boot (booting with holding shift key). That works. But when I then reboot to come in normal mode, it comes back to the same problem. Working on a MacBook Air which is 6 months old.
