Just updated to Yosemite. but iTunes was unable to install iTunes 12.0.1
The App store updates kept telling me 1 update available. I have already downloaded 4 times, as you can see from the install history.
What's going on? Anyone got the same problem?
MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Yosemite (10.10)
I am running yosemite, iTunes 12.01 is installed but I can not get it to run. I re-installed it, did permissions repair. I still can't get it to run ! HELP!
I've got the same problem, after updating to Yosemite I tried to update iTunes to 12.0.1, did it several times but still got iTunes 12.0.0.140... The App Store icon shows 1 update to be installed but every times I try it stops downloading and moves under "Updates installed in the last 30 days" tab... See the image below

If you have iTunes issues on auto updating do it the manual way - http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ just did it there myself and works fine now.
my iPhone4 has difficulties on battry when dis conect from charger even if the barrty is100% dis conected from charger the power is off from screen is that batry or soft ware?

I waited for a long time, refreshed lots of time, nothing appear!
I guess Apple might be working on an update? maybe?. I might need to wait. or reinstall everything.
I would not re-install everything just now and see if there is a new update coming out.
Im downloading from the UK, but I would assume the link is still coming from he same location since it's just Apple.com
I've just went there again, and you can see below... its there for me!
I just realise I can't reinstall my mac, because the recovery drive is missing. I hold down option during startup, it only shows me the main drive. nothing else. that's very interesting.😕😕
Try going into Finder/Applications then right click on iTunes and show package contents. Then go into Contents/MacOS. There, double click on the iTunes exec file (black icon). That should open it.

I'm having the same problem. In App Store I click the Update button next to iTunes 12.0.1 and it starts downloading. When it gets to just over 55Mb is goes back to the Update button. If I click it again, it says Installed but it isn't. Restart App Store and the Update button shows again.
I went to the iTunes download page as MrGordonian suggested, downloaded and installed it and it works fine.

Same problem here in Germany. Update is downloading several times and still there open to update in the AppStore...
But the manual download worked for me too.
