iTunes 12.0.1 unable to update

So I've done the manual download but I still have the issue with tracks that never jumped or skipped before still jumping and skipping. Has anyone else got the same issue? I've checked all the performance stuff and it isn't that I'm running out of space, everything else seems to be working fine as well, it's just iTunes that's going slow...

I am having the same problem. I installed Yosemite yesterday and now iTunes will not open. I have tried to re-install iTuns manually with no success.

System Settings:

OS X Yosemite v. 10.10

MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2010)

Processor 2.4 GHz Inter Core i5

Memory 4GB 1067 MHz DDR3

I have had the same issue as others above. Just did the manual download and have now got 12.0.1.26. Thanks for the suggestion.

Tap iTunes icon..does nothing ,it just does't work

have downloaded it twice from App store.

Have the new Yosemite on My" 27 inch mac Late 2009"

Tried and tried no iTunes?

The same problem also for me with Yosemite and iTunes 12.0.1 on My iMac 21" late 2009.

If I double-click on the iTunes icon it does nothing; I can run it only if I right-click on iTunes, select "show package contents" and run the iTunes executable in Contents/MacOS.

Is there a workaround for this problem?

my icon on the Mac will not right click ?

The manual download worked for everybody else mate.

The icon you have to right-click is the iTunes icon in the Applications directory. Right-clicking on the iTunes icon in the dock doesn't work the same way.

found it on my own love to share with you!!

went on my mac ( late 2009) imac

saw on( Contents ) file:

(MAS OS)

then in that file:

( ITunes helper)

yes it is there and it rely works great!

hit it .. and then like magic..updates all my iTunes

( iTunes)

......all works like from heven it self..! Apple I mean..LOL

MY music is back,

the store is back...

easiest way to download is by going to apple.com and go to iTunes and download.
