iTunes 12.0.1 unable to update

Just updated to Yosemite. but iTunes was unable to install iTunes 12.0.1

The App store updates kept telling me 1 update available. I have already downloaded 4 times, as you can see from the install history.

What's going on? Anyone got the same problem?

BTW, I had this same problem but with iMovie. From the App store it wouldn't complete the download and continued to state an update was available. In my case, iMovie is not critical so I just keep trying over a few weeks and after about 15 attempts it worked. So, I'm only posting here because it may be a problem with the App store, not iTunes. Cheers.

Guys who have this problem with iTunes, this error might be from Apple, and the app doesn't update automatically, so it is necessary to do it manually.


First, go to this link: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/,then open and do exactly that the installer says, and your done. Open your iTunes and check the version, and it might show v12.0.1.26, that means that it is updated.


My method had worked, trust me. This is how it ended:
