Bluetooth pairing and so handoff does not work

Hi!

First of all I have a Macbook Pro 15" Retina late 2013 (bought at in the first months of 2014) and and iPhone 5s.

rMBP has installed OS X Yosemite since yesterday and my iPhone iOS 8.0.2

Positiv checks:

- both devices support Bluetooth LE

- both devices are on the same wi-fi network

- rMBP support handoff and instant hotspot as displayed in system information screen

- rMBP could "out call" over facetime and my iPhone to anyone

- bluetooth is activated on both devices

- airdrop (for everyone) is activated on both devices

- handoff in settings -> general on rMBP ist actived

- handoff in settings -> generall -> handoff & ... ist activated on iPhone too

Problems:

- handoff does not work between my rMBP and iPhone

- in bluetooth settings both devices see each other, but they cannot connect to each other

if I try to connect bluetooth from rMBP to iPhone I get: network not available

if I try to connect bluetooth from iPhone to rMBP I get: connections failed

so what can I do to pair/connect them both to each other for these incredible handoff features I want to use?

things I tried out:

- switching airdrop on and off on both devices

- switching airdrop off and on on both devices

- switching bluetooth off and on on both devices

- clearing bluetooth device cach on rMBP and fresh select (pairing) in the settings

- multiple trys on my iPhone to connect with my rMBP

- resetting network settings on iPhone

- resetting all settings on iPhone

I run out of ideas .... can anybody help me please!

Answering calls on my computer and iPad stopped working. Here is how I got it started again. The problem appears to be due to the fact that I had changed my Apple ID password and I discovered that logging in with the new password in System Preferences for all my devices was not enough to enable handoff. I also had to go to FaceTime on all my devices and login with the new password. The new password was not picked up from changing it in System Preferences on the iPad, iPhone, and in Yosemite.

i just deleted the bluetooth file from preferences and it started working on mac. but the apps don't turn up on iPhone 5s lock screen or app switcher

I was able to make sure that my buetooth was on with all devices. I then had to hard boot the iPad and iPhone and everything started working again.

This worked for me after a couple more tries at turning Bluetooth and handoff on and off on my phone ! Thanks, really how much I missed these features .

Try everything step by step and it doesn't help with my rMBP 10.11 and iPhone 9.3.3 😟 I am really disappointed.

Interesting is that everything except handoff is working, I can accept and make calls from the laptop, can connect to personal hotspot, but the app handoff doesn't work.
