Okidata C3400N Driver
Anyone know where I can get the print driver for OKIDATA C3400N printer? Or if there is another driver that is compatible? Okidata website does not have it out yet.

I have exactly the same problem and was without a printer for several days. Yesterday I found by chance a document on an OKI web page (OKI printer driver compatibility with Mac OS X Mavericks and Yosemite rev.5) which states that the printer should work when connected via USB cable. I did try it and it actually did the trick: I can print again, if not via my network.
What I found interesting is OKI's statement in this document, that "TCP/IP support is under consideration." So they actually consider the option of updating the printer driver? How very kind and customer oriented!

I just got off the phone with Oki customer support. There isn't a driver, in 10.10 for Okidata printers.
This happens every time there is a new OS. Apple leaves out Okidata. Why?
I was told it could take up to 3 weeks or more.
I wish I hadn't updated.
On 11/17/2014 Okidata posted a link to the new driver, yet the link does not work. Below is the response I got from customer support. I would recommend never buying an Okidata product to anyone since they couldn't care less about loyal customers who still own working printers.
I apologize, but a Yosemite driver is not available for this discontinued
model. I can only recommend you remove your current printer driver, go to
to our website at my.okidata.com and download the most recent mac driver
which is for maverick. However, I'm unable to guarantee this will work.
Since the printer has been discontinued for several years, I don't
anticipate a Yosemite driver will be released. Also, your model printer is a GDI printer and Yosemite seems to have
issues when it comes to GDI printers. There is no guarantee it will operate
properly in Yosemite. Sorry for the inconvenience.
If we can do anything else for you in the future, please don't hesitate to
ask!

How can they say they don't know if they will ever release a driver, yet they posted a link to a new driver? Idiots.
I had the same problem but I've been able to get it to work over wifi via usb. I've plugged the C3400n into a USB hub that is connected to the USB input on my Time Capsule. Deleted the original set up in each of my computers, then added it back via default (Bonjour) and it loaded fine. Now it works over my Airport network.
OKI released the driver today, sort of. It now shows on the site, but it doesn't download! I did a live chat and they said to try tomorrow. Just when I thought they couldn't aggravate me more over this...
I finally got mine to print.
From system preferences, I selected Printers & scanners.
From the printer set-up window, I removed the Oki printer, using the Minus tab, lower left corner.
Using the Plus tab at the bottom left corner, I selected Oki c3400n printer USB
Then under Default Printer, I selected OKI DATA CORP C3400
I'm not sure if this is the proper way but it worked.
Thanks to all, for your help.
Please ignore the youtube spam by crazy gamer. All he does is post those videos into every thread about a printer not working.
Put some pressure on OKI via support requests. I've gotten caught in the fold between OS updates and lack of driver updates before with Canon and HP. Unfortunately they decided to sell new printer with new drivers, so I've changed scanner & printer twice; once when OS X came out and once with 10.7. But, I'm under the impression that 10.9 to 10.10 only requires minor work; as some manufacturers had compatible drivers right off the bat. So don't lose hope. Put in support requests.
I don't know if you have heard, but there is finally an update that will allow you to print wirelessly without a work around. Use the Hiper-C download.
Don't know of any secrets. I connected my OKI printer to my Time Capsule's USB port, just as philfromto had suggested, and print without any problem.
I wouldnt expect Apple to cover all printers. I'm more annoyed that OKI never seems to be in a hurry to update their drivers. I didn't bother calling OKI because they never seem to have any idea when they will release an updated driver.
Followed your lead installing my Okidata C3400 as a USB printer. However, am still getting "'Filter' failed" error - not printing.
Have Yosemite 10.10 on an Early 2008 Mac Pro, 8 GB ram, lots of HD free. Everything else but printer work fine.
Would appreciate suggestions. I, too, am following Okidata's site - with disappointment so far. At least their tune has evolved over the last several weeks.

I just spent an hour on the phone with an OKIDATA tech and we uninstalled and reinstalled the printer 40 different ways. We could get it to print using the usb cable and the newly loaded driver, but it would not print over the network using my router. He kept telling me how old my printer was and how support for it had been discontinued... blah blah blah. Why is it so hard fro them to update the software to include the same capabilities as before? If they think I am going to buy another printer just because they won't pay someone to finish the job, they can be sure that the next printer will NOT be and OKIDATA.
My opinion of Okidata has change drastically. I tried to install the printer driver many times as well and can't get it to print over my network either. I am very disappointed that they don't stand behind their products.
I can get it to work over USB but that defeats the point of having a network printer. They keep trying to tell us that it's an old discontinued printer yet they released a new driver for the latest Windows software. I bought the latest windows and installed it on Bootcamp. It works fine that way but a pain to reboot into Bootcamp when I want to use it. So annoyed with Okidata. Hoping they actually fix this driver but not holding my breath.
