Working Wacom Drivers for Yosemite?

This doesn't work for me. "A supported tablet was not found on the system." dialog on the preference pane. The table only scale to about 40% of the active screen area (I'm using 2 monitors).

It seems Wacom dropped support for some older tablets in the latest driver. The previous one will work with Yosemite with all the settings at their defaults. I had set mine to map to only the main monitor but now it maps to both. Annoying but I can deal with it for a while.

I am getting the same results with Intuos 2 xd 0405; however, I did back up my preferences first from the tablet utility, then deleted the app and then restored once I reloaded the latest legacy driver. I still can't load the preference pane, but my tablet appears to be working and mapped to my second monitor as before.

Maybe there's a way for you to get the preferences off of a time machine backup and load them so at least you're back to where you were with preferences and mappings.

This all worries my quite a bit due to the fact that I am reading posters on here saying the 6.3.9w9 did not work for them and they resorted to the 6.2.0

This was the feedback from wacom support for me:

Thank you for contacting Wacom. I would recommend a clean driver reinstallation as our latest drivers should be compatible with OS X 10.10.

Open your Applications folder and locate any Tablet or Wacom Tablet folders you have

Use the Utility in each of these folders and click ‘Remove’ under ‘Tablet Software’

Once the software is removed, restart the computer

Once this is complete, download and install the latest 6.39 driver from:

http://cdn.wacom.com/u/productsupport/drivers/mac/professional/WacomTablet_6.3.9 w3.dmg

BUT! If this does not work, and I have to go back to 6.2 then I run the risk of not being able to calibrate my tablet. This is all very unnerving lol 😝

Thanks to james.d53, This works for me. Intuos 4, upgraded to Yosemite yesterday, downloaded & updated drivers just now. MacPro 2013.

Find out from Wacom tech support if your tablet is supported by their latest driver. That seems to be start of the trouble if it's not. It seems the latest driver and Yosemite work okay on some tablets but not on others.

HWilliam, I agree. I think that some of the hardware is just not supported anymore.

Worked for me with my Intuos GD. Guess it's only a matter of time before support is dropped completely...

If anyone is using older Bamboo (like Bamboo MTE 450 that I have here), I found the solution of clean uninstall, re-install latest Bamboo drivers (5.3.5), and restart macbook to work pretty well. I used to get error "Could not load Preference Pane" when I didn't restart. Figured this would be useful for others.

Your preference pane worked? I tried everything, reinstalling and such and restarting. But still, the preference pane is in the incompatible software folder and I can't open it.

Yes. There are two kinds of newest drivers available from Wacom. If you are using older Bamboo like me, make sure to install the (5.3.5) one, not the (6.3.9w9) one. And then, make sure to restart afterward.

I have a perfect solution for users with Intuos2 unsupported in Yosemite (like me)

Go back to Maverics, like I did (reinstalled from TimeMachine).

NOW, it just works 🙂

ps. I can't see any advantage in 10.10. Bad typography (Helvetica is bad in small size), bad (worse than 10.9) interface consistency, etc.
