Logic X problems importing AAF / OMF

Hey guys,

so I'm trying to import AAF files into Logic X, but I end up with either:

- Logic X asks me where the audiofiles are, because they're missing. In fact, they are not missing, because the file size is 500MB and when I ask a colleague with Nuendo to open the file, it works perfectly.

or:

- it places the audio files correctly in a new folder, but the project file shows up with a lot of empty tracks. While in fact the right audiofiles are available, but just not displayed in the arrange window (or however it's called nowadays in X).

The way I import is simply File > Import > AAF and then choose the corresponding AAF. The file was send to me by an editor who works with Avid. Another one that was send to me by an editor who works with Premiere.

Same goes for importing OMF files. File > Import > Other, and I end up with one of the above mentioned problems.

Got any tips, tricks or workarounds that doesn't involve buying a 1600 euro Nuendo or 600eu Pro Tools for simply importing an AAF or OMF? Thanks!

R.
