Bluetooth Issues after Yosemite upgrade.

My Magic Trackpad's newest magic trick is to disappear after a few minutes of non-use. I was quickly able to discern that it was disconnected. Reconnected... few minutes later disappeared again. Battery level is 92%. Checked my Bluetooth options to allow Bluetooth devices to allow Bluetooth devices to wake the computer is checked.

Anyone else having any similar issues or am I special?

I too, ran into Bluetooth connectivity issues, unfortunately for me I lost connection to my wireless keyboard at the login screen! Interesting (or weirdly) my Bluetooth (BT) Magic Mouse, BT Trackpad, and my BT numeric pad all were working in the login screen! :-P What I had to do was grab my old USB keyboard, plug it in after which I was able to enter my logon password. Once I logged in the BT Wireless keyboard worked fine! Hopefully, if you should run into this problem, this will help resolve your issue.

I was one of those reporting bluetooth connection, wifi recognition, and general speed and performance issues right after the upgrade completed. But after about an hour everything worked itself out. I can now attest that for the 48 hours since then I have had no problems attributable to the upgrade. My bluetooth Magic Tracpad stays connected and performs as well as it ever has. It's almost as if my Macbook Pro had to take a bit of time to digest the new OS. ScottL7's link (above) to another thread indicating that the conversion to FireVault2 may have caused and may explain this disruption in performance and its eventual resolution. It is understandable that such a big change may take a bit of time to process and complete, but it would have been nice to have a bit of a heads up from Apple before starting the upgrade. For that first hour or so, I definitely had misgivings and thoughts of, "OMG, what have I done?"

Question. could be said that this wrong behaviour applies more in general with every BT device? sinche the update of yosemite i'm no more able to pair my iPhone (iOS 8.1) in order to hotspot the connection of the phone.

I think there are major issues in general with all the wifi connections (real WIFI or Bluetooth as well) in pairing with external devices.... (for example, also personal Hotspot doesn't work, since the iPhone is not listed in the WiFi available network...
