remote desktop 3.72 updater in App Store

I just updated to Yosemite and the App Store is showing an update for Apple Remote Desktop (administrator) 3.72. That's the version I'm already running. Clicking on update brings up a message saying it's already installed. I bought this software before the App Store and it's been updated regularly but now I can't get rid of the update entry in the App Store. (I know, sounds confusing.) I tried dragging the application to the Trash and reinstalling but it remembers all the other installed files and won't let me update it. I dragged the application back from the trash and at least it runs. Has anyone seen this since upgrading to Yosemite? Is there a way to use my current serial number with an App Store version? Thanks.

@jstub I tried uninstalling per Apple instructions, then reinstalling and it didn't work for me. I did a clean install on a new disk and don't have the problem so there's something I missed on the old system, which is tough to find.

As for your other observation, I'll see if I can replicate the configuration and do some testing. It would be nice if Apple updated the ARD admin application, which might be what's causing your problem.
