Not quite sure, if they have thought this through. Weren't there supposed to be some controls in that upper part? Cannot even change that background. Well done Apple!!
Do you not think that Black Album artwork could be the cause of the problem!!!! Appropriate song title highlighted !!!

Omg, now I get it. It's that black album cover, right? So how come iTunes does not use a brighter color, if the background is dark? Is that even technically possible? I'm no tech guy, but apple should kind of "read" those pixels and if it's like pixel="dark", text should be like "bright". Omg, I should patent this idea.

Looking at some of my album artwork, it seems that the colour used is based on the colure used e.g. ABBA cover is a dark colour but the printing is Gold. So the background is dark with Gold text.
There is no cloud contrasts in Metallicas cover.
