Share button in Yosemite Safari not working, showing "No Service"

User uploaded file

After upgrading to Yosemite, the share button in Safari does not show any options. It shows only a "No Service" message. Has any one else have such a problem? Do you have any suggestions? It is a personal mac book pro at home.

That seems like a great solution... Except it doesn't work.

Also the System Preferences Extensions Sharing Doesn't show "Share menu" as a something to explore.

-I upgraded from 10.9.x (not the preview.)

-It is a user specific issue, and only affects my primary user. Other uses are un affected.

-I tried removing all preferences, logging out, logging back in, and the issue still persists. (So it is more than just the preference folder.)

-Interestingly, I also don't have as many options in the Notifications Center when I click the Edit button at the bottom.

Try what solved my general problems (keyboard shortcuts, save dialogs…).

You need a second admin user. Then in your account:

  • delete ~/Caches
  • move ~/Library to ~/-Library (Terminal: mv ~/Library ~/-Library)
  • restart
  • login into your account, test if it works now
  • logout
  • login second admin
  • in Terminal.app: sudo mv /Users/YOUR_NAME/-Library /Users/YOUR_NAME/Library

I've got mine working ...

I went to :

/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/ShareKit.framework/Versions/A/PlugIns/

Clicked on each plugin in turn, opening with the Widget Simulator ignoring the error message and they were all appearing in the menus, both in the System Preferences > Extensions and the Safari Share Menu. I've restarted and they are all still there and yes, I tried the Facebook one and it worked
