Maps not working after Yosemite Upgrade?

Just upgraded to Yosemite last night and everything seemed fine until I tried to use maps, which won't load and is just showing a blank grid. Internet connection is fine so it's not a connectivity issue but address searches yield no results and using the home GPS button just brings up the blue dot on a grey grid. Didn't have any problems before the upgrade. Toggling between Map and Satellite view doesn't yield any difference.

I am experiencing these same symptoms. Apple Maps will not download anything, I just see a blank grid, and when I go to "Report Problem" I get the error for no internet connection. Despite the recommendations in this thread, I have restarted my computer many different times since experiencing this problem, renewed my DHCP, switched internet interfaces Wi-Fi vs wired ethernet, etc, all with the same result.

I tried analyzing my interface with Wireshark and I found that Apple Maps is properly accessing my interface and sending packets out, but it is simply not receiving replies from any server. Is it contacting the wrong server? The TCP handshake completes with 23.216.11.8 and Apple Maps (specifically, the apple.com.geod process) begins to send a number of HTTP "GET" requests and every response from the server is always "HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden (text/html)"

Why is the Apple server rejecting me? I've been a loyal customer for years ... 😉

Was experiencing the same issue, Maps - View - Go to current location, looked broken. Try this: Restart Mac - Then: System preferences - Security & Privacy - Privacy - Location Services - temporarily turn off Location Services. - Network - Advanced - TCP/IP and Renew DHCP Lease as mentioned. Then go back to Privacy and turn Location Services back on. The combination of this worked for me.

On an otherwise fully functioning install of 10.10.3 on a mid-2012 MacBook Air, I am getting a strange 'phantom' display of only the outline of the Maps main window (see screenshot at maps-mystery.jpg). This screenshot is on a bare desktop with only a dark gray desktop chosen; a similar 'phantom' shadow appears over the top of other apps' windows, when they are displayed. This happens on both the MBA's own screen and on an attached monitor.

It's not possible to send a problem report, because its window is only displayed as a minimal top shadow (as also shown in the screenshot), and even the "About Maps" dialog box is missing some interface elements. The app will start up and quit normally, and its menu displays, but it is obviously not possible to interface with it in any other way.

I’ve reported this to Apple, of course — just wondering if anyone else has seen this strange UI-mangling.

I have logged a full report with Apple, and haven't heard anything yet.I check news on bug fixes and updates on various credible online sites, and haven't really heard much about this problem, either.I have had maps work a few times since my original post, but it's random, and seems to be unstable.I hope they'll either address this,or all will be fixed quietly in the next major update.
