How well does OSX Yosemite run on a Mid 2007 iMac?

I own a Mid 2007 iMac with 4GB 667Mhz DDR2 RAM, Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0Ghz processor and has ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT 128 MB graphics. I was considering upgrading from OSX Mavericks 10.9.4 to OSX Yosemite, but fear it may slow the Mac down. If anybody has upgraded their Mid 2007 iMac, does it slow the system down? Thank You.

Hi all, I have been wiping and upgrading several 2007 iMacs that all have 2.4 intel duo cores. They run yosemite just fine in my experience, but they do not run fine with 8gb of memory. The machines with 5gb of RAM run much better than the one with 8 gb, and after I pulled out one of the 4gb sticks and replaced it with a 1gb that machine worked fine. This is after it took over 24 hours to install yosemite. I was finally able to get into the os and I saw then that the machine had 8gb of RAM. I don't know how you determine the model name of your processor, but the machines I have definitely would not accept 8gb of RAM.
