App update description is missing - iTunes 12

I stumbled upon a new workaround.

I open the App Store on my iPhone or iPad, and then go to the Updates tab…

From there I can easily read what's new in each available update.

I find it's way more efficient than going to the app's page on my Mac for every update.

We are discussing iTunes 12 on OS X, not iOS on iPad or iPhone.

The discussion is about App Store app updates pushed by developers. This has got nothing to do with editing description of iTunes files.

Yes, thank you. I understand. I was the third poster in this thread.

To clarify... when I sit down at my Mac running iTunes 12 on OS 10 X, instead of going to the app store page to view the changes (like the workaround I mentioned prior) for each and every single update available, I instead look at the iPhone in my hand, plugged in to my Mac, open the App Store, and there I view the correlating app updates. I can read all the info missing from iTunes on my Mac in a nice list, as a workaround to the workaround, and then download them to my Mac.

I do the same thing with my iPad because I'd like to read the details of an app update before I download one to my Mac.

Again, I do the reading on the iOS device to help me understand and better execute the actions I'm taking on my Mac.

Same here - very annoying - please bring back update notes on the apps!!!

Yes I understand. You are still using your Mac for downloading updates but use an iOS device as a reader on the side to see the update descriptions all in one screen (a bit like the way the Mac App store does updates).

That is a good way to get around this problem. I still hope they will fix it though.

PS: Tip for if they bring the descriptions back to iTunes: you can use the left and right arrow keys to quickly switch between each app updates and its (now missing) description.
