Now that Yosemite has been installed and working well, I am left with a non-functional Canon LBP2900. On Mavericks, it worked well with the patch but seems it doesn't carry across to the new OS. I have reset my printer settings and re-patched the system as per Mavericks but no joy.
Any tips? or lots of printers going into the bin!!!

I installed the driver for printing on the Canon LBP 2900 printer on the mac os capitan, I successfully printed it a couple of times, then I stopped - it's always takes problems, it does not work.
Now I can not completely delete it, the window "Accept" in the "CCPD" program always appears when the system starts.
How can I delete it?
Is it the same filter failure seen in printing - 'filter failed'?

Sadly not the same failure. It just hangs at the printing stage and eventually goes to pause. keep clicking resume- no movemen.

the same thing!
Just upgraded from Mavericks and found that old patched driver doesn't work.
Print job appears, it shows that print is in progress, but printer doesn't print and makes pause job after 5 min.
Tried to install fresh 3.66 Capt driver from Canon - no result.
Help please!!!
Hi, Jafar. Sorry about that. Are you ale to use the Genric PCL or PS driver when adding the printer instead?

Same here! Printer is not working although I have installed a CAPT-Driver and a patcher.
Has anybody got an idea how to solve this prob?

Found a way:
Follow these instructions:

Download both.
Delete the old LBP 2900.
First install the CAPT Driver, then the patcher, then reboot, the connect your printer then add your printer and it will work fine.

It worked perfect for Mavericks, doesn't work for Yosemite. Printer is in the list, it looks like it starts printing, but nothing prints and soon "Can't connect to CCPD: Operation timed out"

I finally solved the problem.
1. Delete your printer in Printers and scanners preferences.
2. Restart computer.
3. Download and install the following driver (version 3.67 has just been released for Yosemite): http://support-au.canon.com.au/contents/AU/EN/0100420705.html
4. Restart computer.
5. Download and install the patch appearing at step 3 on this page: http://macdaily.me/howto/how-to-install-canon-lbp2900-on-mac-os-x-mavericks/
6. Restart computer.
7. Connect the printer with USB, add the driver in Printers and scanners preferences, select the appropriate driver.
8. Enjoy the rest of the day.
