In looking at the report I got - it seems the issue has to do with the Microsoft Exchange Server that is one of the many email accounts I connect to.

Has Mail's methodology for communicating with Microsoft Exchange servers changed? Anyone have any info on how to configure microsoft exchange and office 365 email accounts in Mail?

Mail is now more stable for me after removing a rule which sent email from one of my accounts (IMAP) to a Junk email folder hosted on a separate Office365 Exchange account.

Mail (or Exchange) wasn't happy pushing messages from an IMAP account to the Office365 junk folder.

I have also disabled regular junk mail filtering as I was getting repeat log messages stating the junk mail folder was not a true IMAP mailbox.

I no longer see an error almost immediately after launch of "Terminating app due to exception while holding database lock"
