Yosemite: Time Capsule not found

Hi!

Did post the same query yesterday, thought it was solved, however, it is not, pls see below.

Did successfully install Yosemite on MacBook Pro. Finder: connection to Time Capsule almost always fails (numerous repetitions required). Also, Time Capsule is hardly ever found by AirPort Utility app (numerous repetitions required, too). Thought restart of Time capsule would solve issue, but it actually didn't. Solutions?

Thanks for your help!

Adding Airport Utility and Time Capsule in the Yosemite Firewall worked for me flawlessly. Thanks so much, MojoMatsu. This is what I did :

1. System Preferences / Security & Privacy / Firewall / Firewall Options / + button

2. Enter Airport Utility in the Search field / select Airport Utility / Add

3. Enter Time Machine in the Search field / select Time Machine / Add

4. OK

5. Unplug Time Capsule from the wall socket / wait 2 minutes / plug it in again

6. Airport Utility... and I could see the Time Capsule again 🙂

7. Time Machine... and I could see the Time Capsule again 🙂

Note :

- I did not have to add Airport Utility and Time Capsule in the previous MacOS versions. If Apple has added more security, it should display a proper message when a user is unable to find the Time Capsule : "Due to increased security, please add Airport Utility in the Firewall as an exception".

THANK YOU MOJO MATSU & ARVIND AGARWALLA!! I downloaded & installed Yosemite a few days back & obviously had this problem. In addition to adding Airport Utility & Time Machine application to FIREWALL OPTIONS I think it's important to say 2 other obvious things. ONE IS TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE UNPLUGGING AIRPORT DEVICE AT THE WALL. SECOND IS TO DO A RESTART OF COMPUTER IF YOUR DEVICE STILL DOESN'T CONNECT. As previously said, both are obvious but when we're frustrated, I can forget the easiest options. AND I AGREE, APPLE SHOULD DEFINITELY DESIGNATE THE "FIX"
