Cosmetic Problem - Color rubbing off? Makes more sense if you read?
Alright. Is anyone else having problems with this. I've owned my Macbook for about 3 or 4 months. I bought a white one. I've noticed that where my wrists usually are (to the left and right of the touch pad) the white is fading and it looks dirty (I wash my hands and I've tried washing the surface but it looks the same). Anyone else having problems with this? Is this something that Apple will fix?
This is a common problem with the earlier macbooks, Apple have recognised it and they will replace the whole topcase for free. I've just had mine done and it looks nice!
whats funny about that is that when it first happened to me it was in the same month i bought it (June). at that time apple geniuses werent acknowledging the the problem saying "Oh well you can just buy some iKlear to clean that up" only to have the botches somehow get darker after using it. great! its still under warranty i guess ill do it one day, but sis has it now and she cant bear to part with her macbook, and if she doesnt care about the big nasty blotches what can i do?
