I think that what Cliftonnn was asking was not is there a way to add a site to the favorites bar, but can you edit Safari's top sites, by adding a new site to the top sites. I think that the way top sites is 'supposed' to operate is sites you visit frequently will appear there. A lot of us remove all website data, when we close out of safari, so these top sites will always refresh. Is there a way to change the generic sites that Safari chooses. Honestly I have never used Wikipedia, and probably never will, and would like to add other sites to that list.

To add a new Top Site, go to the site and then click the address bar to see and highlight the full URL. Then drag that URL to the Top Sites icon. The Top Sites icon is at the left end of the Favorites bar. Dragging to that icon doesn't add the site to favorites -- it will add it to Top Sites.
