Apple Car Play With Pioneer AVH X8600BT & iPhone 6 Plus

Question

Hi All,

I am having trouble getting Apple car play to load using an iPhone 6 Plus

I have updated the firmware of the Pioneer unit.

When I connect the phone using a genuine apple lightning cable it just plays the ipod.

How do I get Car Play to work?

Also I checked in the settings of the headunit and it says Apple CarPlay settings>Driving Position.

So the headunit is compatiable.

Please help.

i think you connect the iPhone 6 plus to the wrong usb port...

Hello iphoneusuer364,

I have exactly the same problem, i tried both usb ports, but i don't see the menu for Carplay. Did you already solve it?

Hello,

Connect your phone to USB Port 1. That solved it for me.
