Horizontal pixel lines in Yosemite

I just upgraded to Yosemite. Everything looked great yesterday and for most of today, but then I started noticing black horizontal lines across the display. These lines appear every two pixels. I never noticed this before upgrading to Yosemite. These appear system wide, including on the desktop image (the default image of a mountain range), although it is only obvious on the orange sky, not the mountain range itself.

I think it may also be something to do with multiple monitors. My current setting for my Built-in Retina Display is "Best for display", but I can still see it if I choose the highest graphics resolution. My color profile is "Color LCD", is this the default? Perhaps its how the system does shading?

Restarting the computer or restarting in safe mode does nothing. Same with disconnecting the display and restarting. I don't have this effect on an external monitor either. Is there anything else that I can do?

My system details are as follows:

OS X Yosemite, Version 10.10

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013)

Graphics: Intel Iris Pro 1526 MB

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Yosemite (10.10), Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013

I have the same issue. It became just after clean install of OS Yosemite 10.10 (14A389). It's very annoying.

The issue appears when using any of graphics card.

Same here but upgrade from developer preview, not a clean install. I thought it's a HW issue but now I suspect it's caused by the FW update during the install. I mean the FW might have this bug.

Thank god I'm not the only one, I thought I was going crazy! I have the same issue, only worse is that on my old 2009 iMac those lines get burnt-in to the screen! Did you ever fix this? What's causing this? I've never had this issue before Yosemite.

Thanks and best

Sebastian

edit: Here's my original post I created when I noticed the odd behavior.
