My iPhone 6 screen got cracked for no reason

While I was using my laptop while my iPhone on the table by my side, i hear this weird noise coming from my brand new iPhone 6. I look at my iPhone, and I see a crack on the screen. I have been very careful with my new iPhone 6. Never dropped it or tried to check if the sapphire glass of the screen is truly un-scrachable, which why I'm very mad.

Please I need a solution, other than paying for a new screen.

My phone dropped no more than two feet a few weeks after I got it and the phone cracked on 3 corners, they want $109.00 to replace it. Even if I had Apple Care it would still cost $80.00. Apple needs to wake up and realize that they put out a crappy product this go around!

Itsrd7 needs to wake up and realize that smart phones must be handled with care.

Lol... Same thing just happened to me. I was texting and I hear this popping noise and there it was. A crack across the whole screen in the middle. And the reason why this is funny to me is because I had an apple appointment scheduled for tomorrow to see why my screen was showing yellow blemishes when the image is dark. Hooray for ruining my chances of getting the issue fixed for free ^.^ pay 800 bucks for a phone and now I gotta pay 100 for a screen if not more if the digitizer needs to be replaced.

Good plan. Think positive!

Yup. Can relate. I was reading one night when I heard a 'plink' sound. Later found out that my hubby's iPhone 6 screen had shattered around the home button. We just had the screen replaced earlier this year for legitimate broken screen. Told the Genius Bar about it and of course they didn't believe us we shelled out another $140 for it hoping that it was really a crazy fluke. Now that I see there are others experiencing the same issue, I feel kinda cheated. The guy who fixed it said it couldnt have happened because there was no bowing in the case and there was nothing behind the screen to cause a bulge. I think it could have been a temperature differential that caused the crack as the charge port is nearby and there are also lots of wiring around the home button... Just a guess. If you guys ever determine the phone to be faulty, please refund us our money.

I can appreciate your frustration. Just the other day, I was gently washing my car and the right front fender mysteriously crumpled. Since it was obviously a Honda design fault, I contacted their service personnel. They laughed at me.

What's happening is, most likely, that, some small cracks that occurred at some point in the past (probably from a drop or impact) are now finally getting larger, possibly due to changes in temperature. Make an appointment at the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store.
