Had VMware Fusion installed and functioning properly on my iMac with OSX Mavericks. After the upgrade to OSX Yosemite Fusion is not started and is not recognized as a known application. Anybody seen this? What's a proposed course of action/remedy to this? Thank you.

You must have Fusion 7.

Then it's time to contact VMware support.
I did a clean install of Yosemite and reinstalled Fusion 7, and now Fusion is running Windows 8.1 with no problem, the same VM it was running under Mavericks. Maybe what you should do is just remove and reinstall Fusion?
That wold be a solution, but I don't have the media... 😟

The installer can be downloaded from the VMware web site. Just click on the Download link on the home page.
