WatchESPN continues to crash on AppleTV(3Gen)

For the last year or so, I've had problems with the WatchESPN App crashing on my Apple TV (3Gen), iPhone (5) and iPad (4). The error message "Unable to Play Video - video is having trouble loading please try again" on the iPhone or "An error occurred lading this content. Try Again later." on the Apple TV & iPad continue to plague my enjoyment of watching the App on Apple devices.

For the longest time, I thought it was related to my 5 year old Belkin router. Last week, I upgraded to a new Airport Extreme hoping the issue would be resolved but the problems ensued via the WiFi connection. I then moved the Apple TV to the other room and connected it directly to the router via Ethernet, only to receive the same error message within 5 minutes into the stream.

During the afformentioned test, I also launched the app on the iPad and interestingly enough, at the same exact time both this stream AND the Apple TV cut out with the error message.

Now, I've tested the App on the XBOX 360 and have not had any such problems, so I'm wondering if it's an Apple related bug. My internet package via TWC is up to 15mbps, but I don't think this is the issue since other streaming apps (Netflix, watch NBC) on these devices don't have the same issues.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so, are there any possible solutions?

Yeah, it's pretty terrible. Too bad, it was working so perfectly for a long time too. Now it's just beyond annoying. I'll have to use other streaming devices...hopefully Apple/ESPN identify the problem and come out with a fix. Don't know if they're even looking. I sent an email with details to ESPN. Never heard back.

ive been trying to watch the College playoffs and of course 5 min into the 1st Qtr of the FSU vs Oregon game I get the invalid account.

i Assumed too many people were streaming.

AFter restarting, renewing the access code, no luck....then I saw your post...Settings changed to output of 1080p 60Hz, Bingo!

tthankfully your advice worked....now I can watch the 4th Qtr and the Ohio St. Vs Bama game in High Def!

I am having this problem using Watch ESPN solely on my iPad 2. I don't believe there's a way to change the resolution on iPad - if you know a way, please let me know.

As for me, I always get the error message: "Unable to play video, The Video is having trouble loading: Please Try again"

Very frustrating since I am not able to watch any games. Watch ESPN is essentially useless to me.

Let's get this issue fixed!

Has anyone tried this with the new AppleTV? I really hope this is fMixed. I have a 50Mbps down connection and I still get hiccups.
