I am experiencing similar problems as well on my 13" MBP (late 2011). Had me thinking I'd have to go and buy more RAM then pay someone to have it installed, then I read some chart on the Apple support page that says additional RAM is not available for this type of machine (had the same input for all sizes and models of MBP). This had me super infuriated after paying as much as I did for the MBP, 2 Apple TV's, iPod touch, iPhone, 4, iPhone5, (iPhone6 soon I'm sure), all the apps, all the accessories (magic mouse, magic track pad, magic keyboard, magic thunder bolt adapter, iPhone4- iPhone5 charger adapter, the car charger, don't even get me started on all the music I've purchased. At this expense this machine better last more than 3 years!!!!! This coming right after having to replace the Magsafe macbook charger, and upgrade to the wireless keyboard (that one was my fault), nonetheless, maintenance on this machine is becoming more costly than I ever imagined sometimes. But anyway, yes, I do hope this problem is recognized and resolved by Apple very soon because I DO LOVE all this crap I've had to buy and understand that normally it is of superior quality to the alternative (Windows, Microsoft, dumpster diving, etc.) <--sorry, that was ugly-- Have had eye surgery (at age 37), and my vision isn't what it used to be, so I almost always Mirror my built-in screen to my 55" Smart TV (living room), or the 36" Dumb TV (bedroom), just to be able to see it comfortably without use of "granny goggles." Point being, in my opinion, this is kind of a huge problem!! Its even effecting Tigerman87's productivity, and we all know there's nothing more frustrating than that!!
Thanks, just wanted to pitch in my addition there!
