Dual screen graphics issue with Yosemite?

I have a 2013 rMBP 13" with Intel Iris and 8GB RAM. I usually run dual screen with the Apple thunderbolt display. Since I installed Yosemite (clean install), I have been experiencing significant graphics issues even when I'm just reading and annotating PDFs. The Yosemite mission control animation becomes very laggy. Anyone else having this issue?

@saphirblanc I used the fix which stopped the kernel_task issue for good - no more spiking.

However there was still a little bit of a performance impact and switching between displays was really slow (500ms delay to focus a window on another display), so I ended up disabling `Settings > Mission Control > `Separate spaces for displays`, which gives me pre-Yosemite performance. However I liked the separate spaces for multiple displays so I hope they fix this in the future.
