Amazon.com Rewards card (Visa issued by Chase) not supported by Apple Pay?
Is it just me or is this working as intended?

Amazon Visa card is issued by Chase and still i am not able to add this to Apple Pay like most of my friends on the forum. I use this card 90% of the time and makes no sense to get a new card to just use Apple Pay.
All I can say is flood the 888.247.4080 phone number with complaints. It's the only way to get them to add this feature.
You can also flood amazon with requests at https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/contact-us
Sad to hear that Amazon card may not be supported. I hope they change this policy. I use this card very often.
Any links to where we can request such a change? (on amazon or on Chase)

I just spoke with Chase. Only chase branded cards are supported. Amazon has opted not to be a part of Apple Pay so the Amazon card will not be supported. This is very disappointing
Can't express how disappointed I am to hear this. I've had this card for over a decade but looks like I'll be retiring it if they can't turn this around.
I uust spoke with Chase customer service and the rep said they (Chase) are currently in talks with Amazon about adding Apple Pay support in the future for this type of card. I was not given a time frame, but she confirmed that the Amazon Rewards Visa from Chase will not work with Apple Pay.
Can't say I am shocked at this news since Apple and Amazon are in direct competition with each other. Only time will tell...
I use this card to pay for everything and never use cash or checks. Looks like I am going to need to find an alternative. I'm quite disappointed and let Chase know that.

It is ultimately Amazon's decision (they own the branding program the card is issued under). Complaining to Chase wouldn't have much effect. But since Amazon is rumored to be working on their own function similar to ApplePay, I'd say that will happen when **** freezes over.
I've submitted an email thru Amazon's help system just to make my voice heard - but I guess I need to look for a different card to use. I'm not sure if I'll keep the amazon card just for amazon purchases (triple points) or close it.
Anyone know of a good rewards card that is apple pay friendly?
Good idea. Just contacted them.
I'd complain to Amazon. This directly contradicts their Customer Obsession principle.

Customer Obsession
Leaders start with the customer and work backwards. They work vigorously to earn and keep customer trust. Although leaders pay attention to competitors, they obsess over customers.
Pretty much every bank listed on the Apple Pay pages has a rewards card of one type or another. I suppose it depends on what you are after.
This is the current list of participating banks. Apple Pay participating issuers
Same issue here! Really bummed out! My wife and I soley use the Amazon Chase card now for everything instead of our debit card, just to get points. And I order so much for my work from amazon, so I use this card a lot!! So I guess I will not be using Apple pay until it is supported. Why do companies have to be so childish with each other. Whatever happened to serving the customer? Either Amazon or Apple will lose people because of this. Anyone know the best place to go to file complaints or anything to get Amazon on board??
I spoke to Amazon Customer Support, they provided me with the following:
Since the Amazon.com Store Card is issued by Synchrony Bank, their Customer Service department is in the best position to help you.
For all other questions, please contact Synchrony Bank's Amazon.com Store Card Customer Service at 1-866-634-8379 (24 hours a day, 7 days a week).
If you don't have your card number, just say "I don't have it" or something similar to reach an agent.
