Amazon.com Rewards card (Visa issued by Chase) not supported by Apple Pay?
Is it just me or is this working as intended?

I added a Disney Rewards Chase Visa with no issues. Possibly an issue with Business cards being added initially? I'd say better off contacting Chase.
Don't know about the rewards part, but I wold guess this one works: http://store.apple.com/us/browse/finance/instant_credit
Actually, no, Barclays is not on the current list, looks to be coming later
😁
Just got off the phone with Amazon Chase Card services. She said "during the trial period" this feature isn't available, but should be added in the near future". Hope springs eternal I guess… 😟
I know how you feel. I use my Amazon card the most. 😟
The only Chase cards that currently work with Apple Pay are those listed here:
https://www.chasedigitalpayments.com/
Note that at this time Amazon Visa is NOT LISTED! This is my default iTunes card and like many of you the card I use for my day-to-day purchases.
Chase needs to get on this.
I've been an Amazon Visa customer for over 6 years, both for my personal card and the card I share with my wife. Extremely disappointed by this decision. I sent Chase an email asking why my card isn't supported when Chase has made it such a point to present itself as an Apple Pay partner, and I got this staggeringly-unhelpful reply shortly thereafter:
"Thank you for contacting Chase about adding your Amazon.com card to your Digital Wallet.
Your Amazon.com is currently not eligible to add to your Apple Pay Digital Wallet. We apologize for any inconvenience.
If you have any further questions, please reply using the Secure Message Center."
I immediately replied and asked my question again, as the rep literally did nothing but restate my original question without answering it, but I haven't heard back yet.
After reading this thread I contacted Amazon as well. I have no real hope that Amazon and Apple will work out this petty spat, which is sad because this is the kind of thing where only the customer loses.
See, this is going to be the problem for Apple Pay. With the failed passbook app, I was so hoping for Apple Pay to be the one to revolutionize the way we pay for things.
And Amazon made the conscious choice not to support Apple Pay. Your frustrations need to be focused on Amazon.
Like most have said here, my Amazon CC is my main CC. Getting those Amazon bucks is fantastic. I am rather irritated.
I just blasted my disappointment on facebook/amazon reddit/r/amazon as well as amazon forum and sent a direct email.
here's to hoping!!
Yep, i started that discussion. Thanks for adding on!!
I tried and could not get my ink card to work but other chase accounts did work.
My letter to Amazon Customer Service (and soon long twitter):
Dear Amazon,
I realize this message will reach a person that is powerless to do anything about this, could I ask a favor and have you pass this request to your manager?
You could say I am an Amazon fanatic. I have been a Prime Member almost since the program started. I spend thousands a year with Amazon, and try to order everything I can through you. I have an Amazon Rewards Visa card - heck I am even an Amazon stock holder! The reason I am "all in" like this is because I believe you practice what you preach, namely what you print here (http://www.amazon.com/Values-Careers-Homepage/b?node=239365011&sa-no-redirect=1) :
------
Customer Obsession
Leaders start with the customer and work backwards. They work vigorously to earn and keep customer trust. Although leaders pay attention to competitors, they obsess over customers ...

Today was the first time I was truly disappointed with Amazon. I was very excited to be able to load my Amazon Rewards Card into the Apple Pay system only to find out that while Chase supports Apple Pay, Amazon had specifically opted out.
Would you mine explaining to me how "obsessing over customers" has taken a backseat to competition concerns with Apple? You are accomplishing nothing but harming your own customers by this decision because Apple Pay is far more secure than the traditional plastic credit card.
By expressly denying your biggest fanatics (namely, your rewards card holders) the opportunity to participate in this more secure pay model, what do you hope to accomplish? One thing you are not accomplishing, I can promise you, is living up to your leadership principles. You might as well be honest and take that statement down if you decide to let this decision stand.
Thanks,
Andrew
I just spoke to a Chase Customer Service rep as well. She told me that the Amazon card is treated as a separate card and is not part of Apple Pay (yet?).
She pointed me to chasedigitalpayments.com which has a full list of Apple Pay-supported cards, currently:
Look up above your post to what thinkthis has posted. There is a link from Chase about what cards currently work with Apple Pay.
