Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I updated to iOS 8.1 earlier today and ever since then I have been on "extended" coverage instead of verizon. I went to places that I go to every day and I never had verizon and it has been about 9 hours. I did a factory reset but that didn't work. How do I fix this? I don't want to be roaming all the time which is what it seems that it is.

I'm in the same boat... I posted a new question on the VZW Community and linked to this discussion. Hopefully, someone can give us an answer or perhaps there will be a fix in the next update.

I was having the same issue on my iPhone 5C until the Verizon 19.1 carrier settings update. Now it says Verizon LTE again.
My IPhone took a "Carrier Update" and it cleared the issue. SOOOOOOOOOOOOO Verizon and Apple finally where able to communicate and fix the problem. It only took them 8 months.
