IPhone 5s, ios 8.1, wifi problems still

i have had my phone replaced already for wifi issues that I was sure we're ios related but Apple insisted on replacing the phone. The problem has persisted at home even with the new phone. Upgraded to ios 8.1 last night and the problem is still apparent. I would even venture to say that it has got worse.

i have tried resetting the network settings. I was in the market to buy a MacBook and a new tablet, I am now reconsidering both as Apple seem to have lost their way when it comes to quality of service in their software.

IPhone 6 Plus 64GB

I've WiFi problems, too. Sometimes my WiFi Connection drops/lose the connection (just for a bit of a second - almost @ 2,4 ghz - that issue is gotten better since iOS 8.1, but it is already there) and sometimes my connection is slowing down - i think at that moment is no more data transfer possible ( it happens at 5 ghz network - or when both are active - 2,4 and 5 ghz).

After a few seconds/minutes the connection is back and works itself. A reset or turning the iphone into flightmode is almost useless.

That issue consists since iOS 8, 8.02 and 8.1

I have the IPhone 4s and I also installed the IOS 8.1 with my fingers crossed that all issues would have been solved in this release. But unfortunately .... 😟!!

Still experiencing the same issues with Wifi as before. Also tried resetting the network settings.

I never had issues before with Apple and I love the product but it indeed seems that they lost their way when it comes to quality of service in their software. I am also reconsidering to buy something else.

I Think I am going to sell all Pads and iPhones to move to android. This is ridiculous. Wifi is still the same issue slow, Safari still freezing sometimes. the problems still have not gotten fixed. Wasting so much time and money to spend money on these Apple products and don't get the service it is supposed to be. Don't except anymore update from Apple lol 😟

How difficult just to fix wfi runs as well as previous iOS. Ios 8 is lame. Now only wifi issue copy and paste, touchscreen keypad has problem too, not respond the way it should be, taking longer for keypad touchscreen to respond. I guess Apple has failed hard on this new iOS. All my co-workers and friends they are about to move to android lol.

Same problem here with my iphone 6 with os 8.1. The slow/disconnecting wifi renders my phone useless when I want to watch any video or browse. Turning the wifi off and on fixes the problem for only 30 seconds max, then goes back to being crippled. I'm glad I still have my ipad on ios 7 so I can at least have something that works at home over wifi.

im having the same problem with my iPad Air and my iPhone 6. There's nothing more frustrating than having over 1k of technology, that was working perfectly fine with my Apple TV to steam video, only to have it cut out every 15 minutes when the wifi connection drops out.

THis his is really poor. An almost perfect product, massively let down by one of its most important and yet basic smartphone features. Please Apple, sort this out quickly

Ever since upgrading to IOS 8, including IOS 8.01, 8.02 and 8.1 I had the wellknown Wifi issue. wifi speeds dropping from 120mbps to about 2mbps @ 5ghz in within a minute after connecting to the wifinetwork. often i couldn't even surf at all. but the wifi signal was always strong. With every update i was hoping for a solution from Apple but it never came. Tried everything that can be found on the internet. Resetting the network settings. Disabling "wifi networking" under Settings > Privacy > Location Services > System Services. Reinstalling my Ipad from scratch Used different routers and different setups. Automatic ip's and fixed ip's and different dns servers just to be sure. Nothing worked. The only workaround is switching to a 2.4Ghz network. So i was doing some tests and found THE solution, but i don't like it all. One of the biggest changes in IOS 8 is the ability to use airplay without a network. by using a wifi connection in combination with bluetooth. And here lies the problem. I disconnected al my Airplaydevices from my network. Denon AV-amplifier AVR2113, Pioneer wireless speaker XW SMA3 and an airport express. Et voila... My Ipad is back to normal. fast... no very fast internet connection and stable as ****. Just like iOS 7 was. Working with it for a couple of hours now without any trouble at all. But do i connect one Airplay device to the network the wifi is not stable anymore and extremely slow again on my ipad air. My Macbook running mac os x mavericks doesn't have these issues, neither does my iphone 5S. and they are also on the same 5ghz network. So I can create and recreate the issue and create a work around... Apple please come with a solution that makes me able to use airplay an ipad (on ios8) on a 5ghz network! like in iOS 7!!!!
