Mac Mail. Sort by sender, and stay on current email.
This seems to have changed with Yosemite.
Scenario: clearing out email. I find an email that's not really spam, something I once subscribed to, don't want to unsubscribe, but want to get rid of.
I click on the column heading 'From' (or else View/Sort By/From has the same effect).
The email are sorted, yes. BUT the email I was on isn't in view. Either I'm looking at lots of emails from 'zzzhappybedscompany' or 'aaaaardvarksRus'. Depending which way it went. The original email is still selected, but out of view. An up arrow will move to one above it, AND bring that into view, and then a down arrow will move back to the original selected email.
Thing is, clicking on the column head USED to order the emails, AND leave the selected one in view. Which was good if you wanted to delete everything from the same sender. It's just that bit more cumbersome now. And not very Appley.
Have I missed something? Has it really changed like what I just described?
