icloud photo library (beta) stuck uploading

My iphone has been stuck uploading photos to the new icloud photo library (beta) for a day now. Any advise to get this going?

I give up.

Tried everything suggested in this thread it seems like - but no luck whatsoever.

Perhaps I should add that I transferred phones (5s to 6 Plus); and before transferring, managed to upload on the 5s.

So there's a shade under 2,000 photos/videos somewhere up there in the cloud.

When I transferred, I logged out and wiped out/deregistered the 5s from my iCloud accounts - so I don't think there'd be 'confusion' in the system. Even if there was, that should be normal right - people have multiple devices.

So now, I'm just left hoping that 1, my photos and videos in iCloud Library are still there such that when; 2, Apple gets their act together and releases iCloud Photo our of Beta - that everything is still there and that all my devices will finally 'work as advertised'.

I just solved. My iPad was syncing well, but my iPhone no. What I realized is when you go to the Photo App on "Photos" section, if you scroll down will say what will upload.

And in my case was saying: 100 Photos, 12 Videos: Uploading 262 items. So I had 112 items (photos-videos) + 150 extra items somewhere!

I decided to erase the "deleted items" folder and erase all the extra albums I created. Actually I only let the albums I was not able to delete. This way I was able to let the items on: 100 Photos, 12 Videos: Uploading 112 items.

After that I rebooted, and went back to the Photo App. and it started to sync normally.

Notice that the app is "forced" to sync while you are on the Photo App on the iPhone. You can check the progress opening on a computer the iCloud.com Photo version, or in an iPad.

Good luck!

It seems that the upload only happens while the actual Photos app is open. If you open the Photos app you'll notice the little spinning network activity indicator in the status bar will fire up and stay spinning. Leave it open for a while, then go back to Photos & Camera in the settings screen and you'll notice the 'uploading' count has changed.

If you leave the Photos app closed, nothing will upload. This seems to be by design, but it's leaving an awful lot of people thinking that the service is broken.

"No, no, no - a thousand times no!"... or words to that effect by Captain Haddock, in trying to decipher the 'Secret of the Unicorn'. :-D

No luck - nothings happening... opening the Photos app on the iPhone does... squat. Starting iPhoto on the Cloud on a Mac does... squat.

And I'm paying for extra storage to do... what?

*sigh*

I seem to have found a fix. I, like most here, had the same problem with my iPhone. There was no problem with my Mac uploading to iCloud, or with my iPad downloading my pics uploaded to iCloud (over 35,000). I concluded, being stuck at "uploading 4000" pictures for over 5 days, that the problem with with either corrupt pics in my iPhone not uploading, or just too much data (15GB in pics).

What I opted to do was to move all pictures to my hard drive (the pictures in my iPhone) using Image Capture. Once I got those safety over, I proceeded to delete my entire camera roll with iExplorer.

Once that was complete, and re-engaging the iCloud Beta, I can say that all 35,000 pictures are now downloading to the phone. I hope this helps some of you resolve your issues as well.
