Outlook/exchange calendar not syncing with iOS8

I upgraded to iOS8 on my iPhone5s. I have Outlook for work, my emails are working just fine....no interruption. However, my Outlook/exchange calendar isn't syncing. It will show recurring appointments that I've had for a while, but it won't show any appointments/meetings that I created/was invited to since I've upgraded to iOS8. I have several co-workers who are having the same issue.

It's a HUGE problem. I'm tired of "double booking" myself, just so I can see an appointment on my iPhone.

Help!!

I was having this issue also. I deleted the Exchange account on my iPhone then re-added it. Then I restarted my iPhone and it's working again. Hope that helps.

+1 Also happening to me. Apple needs to get their act together. How can they say "We don't support Microsoft products" basically saying "this is not our problem" when in all actuality the problem started occurring with their new OS update. Basic troubleshooting here guys. When did the problem occur, and what changed. The problem occurred when Apple released the New OS8 update and what was changed was the Apple platform. This is not Rocket Science here, just common sense. This is absolutely an Apple problem.

I had high hopes that the IOS 8.1.3 update may address these issues, but there has been no improvement, if anything the problem is worse. At least my calendar was intermittently/randomly syncing before, now it doesn't sync at all. So I have downloaded the new Outlook app (free from the App Store) - so far it's working very well, and my mail and calendar are within the one app, no need to constantly flick between Calendar and Mail screens to arrange appointments etc. Much easier, and so far, fingers crossed, syncing is seamless. Am giving it a few weeks, then will probably ditch the native app completely and stick with the Outlook app. Am wondering if Apple claimed "no support for Microsoft products" because they knew this app was coming??? Interesting.....but so far I'm happy.

Hi there

We have several iPhones in our comany, and there are the same issues.

I've got two new issues:

1. I've entered an event on Outollok which is sync. with my iPhone. It turned out, the that same Event on my iPhone is a day later than originaly entered in the Outlook. Deleting and reentering it or entering it by Copy/Past doesn't change the thing. Even a shutdown and reinstalle of the whole thing didn't worked out. Don't know what to do anymore. But it is the only event, so i hope it will be on this only one.

2. I've got entered an event in my iPhone calendar, but this one wasn't synced to the Outlook. All other events are very well synced.

Can't really understand what happens. It look like that this stuff is doing what it want. Not really friendliness. Would be nice to fix this.

Can you share the exact name of the Outlook App you found that worked for you? I'm willing to try anything. I have restarted, rebooted, turned everything off/on multiple times with no success. I'm getting desperate. I resorted to printing paper copies of my outlook cal for 2015 to go to my meetings today so I would know what was on my cal. That is too year 2000 for me. All help is welcome.

It's listed in the App Store as "Microsoft Outlook". Couple things to keep in mind though:

1) It does not appear to pull in Exchange policies for requiring passcodes on the devices.

2) I can't figure out how it's determining what contacts to pull in to the "People" category

3) When drafting a new email to someone you've previously emailed, it looks like you need to add their address by entering their last name.

This is just what I've found so far. The app is relatively new, so tread cautiously and be prepared for growing pains.

So I just tried something that at least worked initially. I am also using Exchange and if I put something on my iphone it doesn't show up on my outlook calendar. I also deleted the account and reinstalled, which was a short term fix. What I did this last time was go into my settings -> mail, contacts, calendars then I turned off the Calendar in the iCloud. This fixed it, but I can't promise it is a permanent fix. Let me know how it goes with you

I am happy that worked for you, but I tried that also and it do not affect the issue at all. For now, until apple supports the product and comes up with a fix, I have resorted to connecting my phone via the old wire and syncing the calendar the old fashion way via iTunes. Please keep me posted on any progress. I would love to get away from the wire and get back on the cloud.

I have tried everything suggested in all posts and while some solutions result in my iPhone 5 syncing temporarily, nothing has resolved the problem permanently. It is so frustrating and really having a negative impact for my boss and I who can no longer depend on our iPhones for calendaring. We are missing critical meetings. I have been a loyal Apple customer for many years, but I must say this problem is having me really reconsider moving to an Android. Apple technical support won't even answer questions unless I pay for support when I know it has nothing to do with my specific device. The Apple reps claim they haven't heard of this problem yet. REALLY? They just want to charge me $30 for a one-time incident only to find that everything they tell me to try doesn't fix the problem. I wonder how many people they've gotten to pay for this support with no solution. Have they Google searched how many people have no calendar syncing since ios8? The next thing I am going to try is a factory reset, but given everything posted here, I'm sure it won't be a permanent solution. I have turned off the calendar in iCloud, I have removed the Exchange accounts, done soft resets, added the accounts back, refreshed the calendar manually ... NOTHING WORKS for more than 1 day. Apple please HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

I am having the same problem. I've tried everything, too, and still cannot get my calendars to sync. The only difference is I have an iPhone 6 and I am using Outlook 2010. I keep my phone connected to my computer via USB cord. It stopped syncing on Tuesday when I updated Itunes and the phone to IOS 8.1.3.

Has anyone out there found a solution?

So since deleting and setting mine up again it has been syncing for a few weeks now. I will say that I tried to download an add-in for icloud on my computer but it kept making my outlook freeze so I uninstalled it. However, when I click the "Send/Receive All" button it still shows my icloud email as syncing. I'm not sure if this is what is keeping my calendar syncing on my phone with my outlook, or if I've just lucked out, but I haven't encountered any problems.

Has anyone tried adding their icloud email as an email account on outlook in order to sync their calendar? My work email is completely separate from my icloud email and I also have other email addresses, but everything seems to be working. Not sure if that makes sense.

Thanks for the tip, but I don't use iCloud, so, iCloud couldn't be the problem. But then again I'm not a computer/software guru. All I know is everything worked last week then I updated my software and now it doesn't work. I didn't change any settings. I thought that if I restored my phone with a 3 month old back-up it would correct the problem. Not a chance. It restored one of my two calendars, but only certain items on it.
