Getting ads on iTunes Radio even with iTunes Match

Ever since updating to iTunes 12 on my work computer, I have been getting ads on iTunes Radio even though I have iTunes Match. Is there a way to fix this? Surely it's a simple fix, I read somewhere that you have to retoggle a setting but I am not sure if that's true.

Thanks

I may have found a solution to this issue. Let me know if it works for you all.

In iTunes on the PC that Match isn't working, go to "Account Info" for your iTunes account. Scroll down to "iTunes in the Cloud". Make sure that you sync your iCloud account with the PC you are on. Should be the bottom option.

Let me know if that fixes it for you all.

Yeah, I've tried everything, including letting my account expire and pay for another year. Nothing fixes it.

I couldn't find the options you were talking about. Did you mean deauthorizing devices? Because all that's under "iTunes in the cloud" is "manage devices", hidden purchases and match which lets you turn on/off auto renew.

I think I figured it out. The last thing I did before the ads seemed to stop was "deauthorize all" then reauthorize just this computer, then restart itunes. I only had 2 computers authorized, this one and this one from the last time I reinstalled Windows 7. I've been listening for a few hours and skipping a bunch of songs and haven't heard an ad yet.

Again, the button I found was in "account info" and it said "deauthorize all", after that I reauthorized this computer and restarted itunes. I haven't hear an ad since. Your milage may vary.

This is so infuriating. I only paid for iTunes match to be able to listen to the radio without ads. And now I'm getting ads. As everyone else here has noted, it likely began with iTunes 12.0. I'm using Windows 7.

Why are you not doing anything about this, friends at Apple? Are you reading these forums? Do you realize or care that you're taking money and not providing the service promised?

I submitted a message to Apple Support, and this is the response that I received....Of course, it did not work as I had already tried this step several times.

"Thank you for contacting iTunes Store Support. I am Rey, your iTunes Store Advisor. I’d be happy to assist you in the best way I can. It is clear to me that you liked iTunes Match, I understand, however, that you are experiencing errors with it. No worries i will do my best to help you on this issue.

iTunes Match is a subscription service that gives you all the benefits of iTunes in the Cloud for music you haven’t purchased from iTunes. It lets you store your entire collection, including music you imported from CDs or purchased somewhere other than iTunes for an annual fee.

iTunes determines which songs in your collection are available in the iTunes Store. Any music with a match is automatically added to your iCloud library for you to listen to anytime, on any device. All the music iTunes matches plays back at 256-Kbps iTunes Plus quality—even if your original copy was of lower quality.

You can usually resolve most issues with iTunes Match by turning the service off and back on. Follow these steps for your operating system:

• Mac OS X: hold down the Option key and choose Store > Turn Off iTunes Match. Then, go back to the same menu and choose Turn On iTunes Match.
• Windows: hold down the Shift key and choose Store > Turn Off iTunes Match. Then, go back to the same menu and choose Turn On iTunes Match.
• iOS device: tap Settings > Music > iTunes Match Off. Then, tap iTunes Match On.
