Macbook Air (mid 2012, 13") charging very slow after update to Yosemite

Same problem here. Fastest way is to turn off computer and let it charge over night.

Look at the attached picture. Everything seems normal? Charging with 2.2 watts...

Formated disc, reinstalled yosemite. Still the same.

Turned off the mac. Charger is inserted. With a 'power adapter measurer' I can see that the magsafe is using 4W.

I have got the same problem but without update to Yosemite (MacBook Air 13 early 2014)

Have you tried the battery health app?

Yes. I have almost the same variable like you.

I have got 48 cycles and age 10.3

I have ordered an new cable from I/O board to logic board....

But maybe we have an batteri issue?

Press D during startup to run diagnostics, any error there?

Problem is back...

Battery level is now 1%, inserted charger...it will take 20 hours to recharge the battery!!

Nice. Did u ever check with the app Battery Health how much charging the battery received?

I'll share my experience as well!

I, too, had the same issue, my battery is just a few months old and it took ages to recharge (10-15 hours).

I brought my computer in for service last week and they found that in my case there was a fault in the charging circuit, on the logic board. So they replaced - for free of course - the logic board! 🙂

I just replaced my battery and have had this issue. I don't think it's the charging circuit necessarily since at times the battery will charge in just a couple hours.

Oddly enough the last time it charged quickly, the charging light on the power adapter was green the entire time. Now it's orange and is back to slowly charging.

Problem started this year, using Yosemite.

My Mid 2012 MacBook Air 13' has a similar problem. When plugged in it charges really slowly. When I watch a video the battery even discharges. I have tried SMC resetting and have updated to El Capitan now.

I have used the Power Adapter of my friend - and it worked. Battery charges normally with the other Power Adapter. Seems I need to buy a new one (at 90$)
