In Yosemite the Dropbox Extension in the Finder keeps turning back on. The annoying green ticks trouble my view, so I want them off...

I don't mind the green checkmarks. But does anyone know how to keep the dropbox Finder icon in the toolbar? It seems every time I restart or quit the app I have to put the icon back into the toolbar.
