Mail app crashing sent folder

I have MacMini and I have to say that upgrade to Yosemite is one of the smoothest and best upgrades I have had with my Macs. Bravo to the OS X team!

The persistent problem that I am currently facing is that the Mail App will crash whenever I click on the Draft folder to re-visit my uncompleted mails. The crashing behavior is re-producible at any time and it is without exception.

Steps to re-produce:

start up Mail App
Click on Draft folder
Timer icon spins for several seconds
App crashes

Mac mini, Mac OS X (10.7.3)

It is now November 28, over a month since the previous post. With a completely fresh (clean) install of Yosemite, this exact same problem still occurs and is 100% reproducible. I am completely baffled that, after ten versions of OS X, that Apple mail crashes with one of the most common mail servers in corporate use.
