iPad Air 2 WiFi Issues
I'm having WiFi connectivity issues on my new iPad Air 2 (WiFi only). I'm having to turn WiFi off and on to reset my connection. Restarting and restoring hasn't fixed the issue.

So this blog ha been going for two years and still no fix.
come on Apple step up to this issue. It's a real pain.
You need to make sure you disable N from both your 2.4Ghz and 5.0Ghz bands. Settings should be:
2.4: B/G
5.0: A
Have a reddit thread going on this exact issue that I have linked back to this thread.

Thanks.
Just to confirm I tried my iPad this morning and it's working. Disabling 802.11n worked but it does drop my speed by roughly 50%. I can live with that for now until Apple offer a fix.
Well Zender99, that tip is the only suggestion that seems to have worked for me. Disabling "N" on the router allows my iPad Air 2 to remain connected to the Internet, after falling asleep.
So now my streaming of HD content (like Netflix) on my TV will suffer because my new iPad won't play nice with my "N" router. Unbelievable.
Yahoo, I hope I did the right thing.
I have an iPad2 (2nd Generation) 32GB storage and running out of room so just ordered a new IPad Air 2 128GB Cellular.
My router is a Asus RT-AC68U 802.11a/b/g/n/ac
After reading all the issues many of you are having, wish me luck.
No... I'm having issue with an AirPort Extreme and I've seen others with the same. I don't have a solution but from what I've read it doesn't seem to be the router.
Just wanted to say thank you for your time.
I have the same problem. Usually mi ipad air 2 works very fast under my home wifi, but somethimes (quite Always!!!!) safari doesn't upload the pages (it stays still 2 minutes and after appears a page THE SERVER DOESN'T RESPONDE). After 2 minutes the wifi connection returns fast.
I tried to change the dns using Google and other, my home router is ok..... i tried to change safari with opera mini but the problems are the same.
Why????????????????? It's not possible that a 600euros ipad works in this bad way! My mom's tablet (android), and our family smartphones (Windows Phone and Android) don't present this connections problems.
Please help.
Forgive me in case my english is not perfect, i'm italian.
Good evening to everbody 🙂
I am disturbed by all the people that are buying and installing new routers. I just went through a major amount of work getting my new router installed before I bought the iPad Air 2. All of my many pieces of equipment on the router work just fine. My iPad 2, iPhone 5, Apple 100, Sony Vaio Laptop, HP Photosmart Printer, Samsung Smart TV and Denon Receiver.
Apple needs to fix the problem. Apple support suggested that I turn in the new iPad Air 2 for another iPad Air 2. Are they kidding? It is a lot of work to get an iPad setup. Why would I want to do that again when others have had the same WiFi drop problem when they exchanged their iPad Air 2 for a new one.
IIf you've backed up your iPad, it will be very quick and easy to set up a new one. But I doubt this is your problem.
it you have the strength to read through this thread, you'll see the problem is nearly always the router. A new Apple router will most likely solve your problem, that is if you allow it to set up to default mode. If you start messing with it, your problem may reappear.
DDid you just plug and play with your Airport Extreme or did you make adjustments? Mine that is several years old works just fine.
HAve you tried uninstalling apps to see if one/some are causing problems.
There is no way that Apple has made a new product that is incompatible with its own routers! Call customer service.
>> it you have the strength to read through this thread, you'll see the problem is nearly always the router
This thread doesn't prove the issue is in the router at all.
NNo, a scientific study has not been done, but those who bought a new router solved their problems. That's good enough for me. Perhaps you just prefer to rant...
I bought a new router, a cisco ea 3500, and my ipad air 2 still have wifi connectivity problems ! i just send my ipad air 2 to apple, and i wonder what i will do when it will be returned to me 😟
It's indeed very unscientific. It the Air 2 is not compatible with 50% of the routers, it's a big deal .
I Don't think this is the case. If it were. It would cause far more press than the "bending iPhone" hysteria did. Interesting that all that nonsense has disappeared...
